I've met hundreds of marketers in the last couple weeks while launching my book in multiple cities. One question I'm asked everywhere I go is: When will you post another piano video? I admit I haven't been playing as much as I'd like while launching my book but I'm back at it! WHAT SETH SAID. Not all unified platforms are equal: most were separate products built by different companies, hastily cobbled together to check boxes off a list just to say, "yes, we have this!" Few, like Gong, invested the time and immense effort to build everything in-house, creating a seamless platform your entire revenue team lives in: from prospecting to forecasting, deal management to sales coaching, it's all there together, working beautifully together where your team members are all day. Choose wisely.

A single vendor platform only matters if you can actually deliver a unified experience. One of the standard steps to grow for sales tech vendors is to add products either through acquisition or development. Their story then shifts to the value of having all these tools sold by one vendor, regardless of how well the solutions work together. I see this fail over the over because clients quickly realize that having everything with one vendor many times does not provide the unified experience that allows them to take advantage of the 1+1=3 promise of a single platform. The ones that succeed truly have a unified experience that can make the most of all the different solutions' capabilities. The ones that don't end up in a pricing battle that is hard to win. Those purchasing sales tech should look to invest in a unified experience over a single vendor platform. #salesops #revops #revtech #salestech
Panels are boring. Participants usually come unprepared and just ramble to fill air time. This one is the exception. Eleanor Dorfman from Anthropic and Anwar Haneef from Canva shared the stage with me last week at Canva Create as we talked about the future of AI, Marketing, and Sales. Gong just announced 14 AI Agents for revenue teams. I just shared 3 of my favorites with 500+ revenue leaders at the Emblaze Revenue Summit in Denver: 1. Our customers expect everyone in our org to have full context of their needs, account history, and issues theyβve been facing. Being honest, how many of us can claim that our team provides that experience? Now there's an AI Agent that solves that problem. Introducing: AI Briefer. It uses structured templates to standardize and streamline how account, deal, and contact knowledge is shared. It reads through hundreds of emails and call transcripts associated with the account when an SDR hands it over to an AE or once the deal closes and moves over to a CSM.
