@allenchanMost people think success comes from talent. But the best leaders win because of habits. Here’s what sets them apart: 1) They protect their deep work time. - No back-to-back meetings. - No constant Slack interruptions. - They block time for strategic thinking and execution. Why? ↳ Deep work drives innovation. Without focus, even the best ideas fail. 2) They simplify instead of overcomplicating. - They cut through noise and focus on what moves the needle. - They break complex problems into actionable steps. Why? ↳ Tech is complex. The best leaders make it easier for their teams to execute. 3) They make decisions fast, then refine. - They don’t wait for 100% certainty. - They iterate, learn, and adjust quickly. Why? ↳ In fast-moving industries, waiting for perfection is a losing game. 4) They lead through influence, not authority. - They don’t micromanage. - They inspire teams to take ownership and make decisions. Why? ↳ Empowered teams build better products, faster. 5) They invest in relationships: - They build strong networks inside and outside their company. - They mentor, get mentored, and always seek fresh perspectives. Why? ↳ Tech changes, but relationships open doors and accelerate careers. The top 1% don’t do more. They focus on what actually matters. ♻️Repost this with other leaders to help them become top1% Follow Allen R Chan for more leadership insights like this.

@prakritisharma17The best copywriting lesson you’ll read today: (From someone who’s learned the hard way.) Read more than you write. → Immerse yourself in quality writing. → Seek out perspectives that challenge your own. → Study styles that pull you in and make you think. When you read better content, you write better content. Reading: ↳ expands your view, ↳ builds your voice, and gives ↳ you a library of ideas to draw from. You’ll find: → New ways to convey your message, → understand what resonates, and learn how → to craft words that people actually want to read. Copywriting isn’t just about writing words. ↳ It’s about absorbing, ↳ connecting, and knowing ↳ what your audience needs to hear. PS: What are you reading today? How is it inspiring your writing?

@anthonypierriWill the next generation’s David Ogilvy be the marketer who built the best Clay tables? …I’m not so sure about that. GTM engineering is a super cool new category of work, but it plays a very different role than traditional marketing IMO. I know, I know… AI allows for “hyper personalization at scale!” But there is something to be said about marketing that creates SHARED cultural moments. Things that everyone experiences TOGETHER. One example: books. Take Jason Fried’s countless best sellers. We all read THE SAME THING and this creates huge shared brand loyalty, and has made 37Signals a massive success. I’m just not sure there’s any Clay-related automations that can do that. To me, marketing is most powerful when it builds truly one-to-many connections (not one-to-one at scale). Again, not discrediting GTM engineering. It’s a massively powerful new craft, and will likely become essential to businesses going forward. It’s just not what I would call “marketing.”

@angelaajl🇸🇬 Enjoyed moderating a very educational discussion on crypto hacks yesterday! So excited to have TRM Labs' Head of Global Investigations Chris Janczewski in Singapore with us this week. And of course we could not let him leave without having him share his insights with our local crypto community... so we teamed up with the amazing Shumin Lin of Drew & Napier LLC and Joshua Foo of Blockaid to unpack the topic of risks, responses and remedies for crypto hacks. I learnt so much, and as always, enjoyed lots of laughs and some campy jokes along the way. Some key takeaways: 1️⃣ Humans can be both our strongest defence and weakest link when it comes to hacks. With hackers leveraging extremely sophisticated and personalised social engineering tactics, every one of us must stay vigilant and updated on the latest threats. 2️⃣ The borderless nature of crypto, combined with the transparency of public blockchains, pose both a challenge and an opportunity. On one hand, it allows threat actors to move and launder funds at an unprecedented speed and scale, across borders. But there are also many different stakeholders that can come to your aid from different corners of the globe. A global threat requires a global response. 3️⃣ The best offence is a good defence. When it comes to crypto, good old-fashioned Web2 security needs to work in tandem with specialised Web3 security measures. There isn't a silver bullet to protecting oneself against hacks, and the space is always evolving. Information sharing and collaboration is key to achieving better outcomes. Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us - I hope you learnt something new (like I did) and more importantly, enjoyed yourself! And as always, great to have my TRM SG teammates - Adriel Wong Cheryl Chng Patrick Lim - join us as well. 📷 : Yes, that may be Shumin and I both trying to ask Chris a question at the same time...

@randy-james-fdcOne of the best parts about FDIC International is reconnecting with friends in the fire service from all across the country. We also share the floor with friends from our hometown. Another firefighting business from the City of Rockford Illinois is Leatherhead Tools. Every year in Indy, they donate to the Fire Department Coffee Charitable Foundation that supports firefighters who are sick or injured on the job. This year was no different. Over the past several years, I've had the privilege of getting to know Dan O'Boyle and his team. I also use their tools at my job with the Rockford Fire Department. I recently asked if they could help support one of the many small departments I visited during my time in Western North Carolina last year. Without hesitation, Dan said he would be glad to help. The Bat Cave Volunteer Fire Department evacuated many residents of their district via a private helicopter. In doing so, they saved many lives as all roads in and out of Bat Cave were washed out. Many of the residents had medical issues and needed assistance. The department is still rebuilding and needed some tools. I've stayed in touch with members from the Bat Cave Volunteer Fire Department and the neighboring Chimney Rock Volunteer Fire Department. We will be honoring them both with a very cool shared design on a Benefit Shirt in the near future. It will tell the story of Hurricane Helene and the heroic efforts of their departments while also supporting them financially. Until then, Bat Cave will be proud to have some of the best tools in the business. Thank you, Dan O'Boyle and Leatherhead Tools. Your friendship and support mean a great deal to us.
Michel Lieben 🧠
@michel-liebenWhat's the best intent signal? Learnings from our latest 250 outbound campaigns... And our favourite prospecting plays as a result: 1️⃣ BAD REVIEWS PLAY = Monitor bad reviews your competition received. Introduce your product as an alternative. Workflow: 1. Scrape review sites using Apify. 2. Prompt AI to single out which feature reviewer complained about. 3. Identify & enrich reviewer contact information using Clay. 4. Reach out with messaging along the lines of: "I understand {competitor bad feature} is frustrating, hence why I came up with {{product}} for which I insisted on building {{feature}} right" 2️⃣ CHAMPION TRACKING = Target previous (happy) user of your product, who recently moved to a new company. Workflow: 1. Import list of buyers/users or use your CRM as source of truth. 2. Monitor & identify people who switched jobs in the last 3 months (hint: Common Room, Clay, Unify do that). 3. Reach out with a message in the likes of: “Hey {name}, congrats on your new position at {new company}. Given you’re already familiar with {your product}, I’ll spare you the pitch. Curious are you thinking it could be helpful to your/your team in your new role?” (Template stolen from Brian LaManna) 3️⃣ ACTIVE JOBS OPENINGS = Monitor job openings to gain context on companies’ initiatives, and introduce your product as a way to support these. Workflow: 1. Scan job openings by domain, org name, job title or keyword. 2. Analyze description/responsibilities for the open role. 3. Reach out to the Head of Department for the role by showcasing how the product will help the new hire be more efficient in their role. Hint: Messaging works best when it focuses on supporting the new hire rather than replacing them. Tools you can use to find openings: ↳ Clay, Common Room, Unify, LoneScale, TheirStack 4️⃣ LOOKALIKE PLAY (Not an intent signal per se) = Targeting companies similar to your best clients. Workflow: 1. Import current clients' domains into Ocean.io or DiscoLike. 2. Get back(larger) lead list of similar companies. 3. Filter decision makers inside Clay. 4. Reach out with messaging laying out how you can help {{target company}} similarly to how you helped similar {{past client}}. 5️⃣ NEWS MONITORING = Monitor target companies for news like mergers, acquisitions & product launches. Workflow: 1. Set up alerts (can use Google Alerts) for specific keywords (can be names of companies you’re monitoring). This creates a feed URL. 2. Copy-paste feed URL into Clay’s RSS Feed feature. 3. Prompt OpenAI to assess (at scale) whether news can be leveraged for prospecting. 6️⃣ WEBSITE VISITOR IDENTIFICATION = De-anonymise website visitors who didn’t convert on their first visits. Workflow: 1. Someone anonymously visits your site. 2. De-anonymize visitor. 3. Qualify whether visitor is a fit. 4. Reach out. Tools you can use: ↳ Instantly.ai, Midbound, RB2B, Vector 👻, Common Room, Unify. P.S: What's your best performing signal?

@meganlieuGetting fired was one of the best things to ever happen to me. I hated the job, but not enough to leave. So when the universe did it for me, it was the kick in the butt I needed to leave a place where I clearly didn’t belong. But I’ve also been fired from a job I love, and 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 was the real blessing in disguise. Because nothing forces you to get back on your feet like being left with no other options and being told you’re not good enough. Both times, I ended up finding something way better. But I was only able to do that because I didn’t let the “shame” of losing my job define me.In fact, I let it fuel me. You see, being fired or losing your job is only “shameful” if you subscribe to society’s traditional narrative of a 9-5 job dictating your worth. When you’re finally able to (or in my case, I was forced to) let go of that narrative, you realize that the only person who can judge your worth is you. And that is the most empowering feeling in the world. ♻️ Reshare if you agree!
Dave Gerhardt
@davegerhardtThis guy Ding is one of the best people I've met in the last few years. He's creative He's kind Calm Confident He can really rap He used to be in sales Then started a video company Secretly I don't want more people to know about Ding Zheng but I pride myself on not being a hater or being stingy SO I want the world to know about this guy I am actually more comfortable sitting around talking about Jadakiss than being on camera, and we've had dozens of these little conversations around events over the last two years. Thought this was a cute picture so decided to post it. Go follow Ding. Who really the best rapper since B.I.G. ain't here? Y'all know the answer to that when Kiss in here

@andreas-pfeiffer-b853aa68You can hire the best team. You can document every process. You can build a killer onboarding system. But if the person leading doesn’t have good judgment, it falls apart. No SOP will tell you: → When to pivot a campaign → When to fire a client → When to say no to a 6-figure deal that doesn’t feel right That part? You learn by doing it wrong first. We don’t talk about judgment enough in marketing. But it’s usually the difference between the agency that grows, and the one that burns out.
Soraya Espejo
@sorayaespejogonzalezMost people think leadership is about being the best. But the best leaders know that’s a myth. (And it’s exactly why their teams outperform.) A brilliant reminder from Rob Dance 👉 Go follow him. Leadership isn’t about knowing it all. It’s about knowing you don’t—and building the team that does. 🧠 High-impact leaders don’t micromanage. They curate, not control. They unite “A” players with diverse: Strengths Skills Perspectives Then they do two things: ✅ Set a clear direction ✅ Get out of the way Here’s the test of real leadership: 👉 Build a team so capable you can’t tell who the boss is. 💬 What’s one leadership truth you’ve had to learn the hard way?
