Software development is often more trial & error and a guessing game than many professionals would like to admit.
There's a well-known phenomenon in software development: often, you'll "plateau" for a while before discovering a new trick, tool, or workflow that radically upgrades your capabilities Recently discovered one such trick & want to share with my fellow smart contract optimizors 👇
Young me was a "developer productivity" maxi: vim, shortcuts, plugins, custom fonts, shell aliases, lifehacks, podcasts, books… I took pride in optimizing every single aspect of my software development flow. Then, one day changed everything ↓
no one will never spill the truth but software development is one of the most loneliest jobs ever. the mental fortitude it takes to shut up and ship quality work, never be recognised above your manager's level and not respected by your spouse wholeheartedly is unquantifiable.
I've been in software development for 3 decades and I still have no idea what a "delivery manager" does. And that's after observing them first hand.

@evaldasgirskusI think there's a big misconception about choosing careers or building startups in one space or another. Often you will be told that the space is over-saturated. Therefore it's even pointless to look in that direction. Really? So if I want to become a Lawyer or say a Startup Founder then I shouldn't even try? There are so many lawyers and startup founders out there after all. Wrong! Doesn't matter what people tell you or if the space is over-saturated. It starts with your WHY! Your differentiator, the number of qualities that make you stand out from the crowd and the ability to execute. When it comes to competition... The better you get, the less competition you'll have. It's Friday so if you need to pick my brain or need any help. You can ask me anything about: Startups Pitch deck Mentorship Fundraising Ghostwriting Corporate Life Growth Mindset Mental Health Journey Linkedin Personal Branding Cost-effective software development (MVP) Here's the link to book a time with me bit.ly/3Qh0TTw Happy Friday! #startups #founders #entrepreneurship ___________________________________ Did you like this post? Damir Avdić
@damiravdićThis week we visited the company ZenDev in Sarajevo. 😀 Zendev’s mission is to provide top-notch development services and software solutions. Samir Mujovic gave us a warm welcome and also showed us around the beautiful office. Our client from the Netherlands was looking for a company that deals with software development so I linked them to Zendev and that is how we came into contact. They started cooperating nicely and our client asked us to give a gift to the software developers at Zendev. 👌 It’s inspiring to hear the story of the founder Senad Santic, who returned to Mostar from Sweden to set up a company here that works for clients such as Volvo, Eriksson, etc. 🚀 I hope that in the future we will hear more stories like this from people who return from abroad to Bosnia to start a business here. Compliments to the ZenDev team and keep up the good work 👏 #softwaredevelopment #Sarajevo #Zendev

Elson Correia▪️
@elsoncorreiaUI development is not easy… Nobody cares about it but the developers doing it… Nobody understands it! Everybody, except for the developer, think it is easy so they look down on it as the easy part of the software development cycle (big mistake) It requires so much synchronization which makes it harder to manage and it is often the frustration point for everyone. Designers, developers, and managers. It is devops heavy and requires a lot of creativity. Developers need to understand programming and non-programming aspects of it which makes them true Unicorn kind of developers. It is constantly evolving which requires constant training and keeping up with trends, new approaches, languages, and tooling. Shout out to all UI developers out there! The real MVPs. #webdevelopment #mobileappdevelopment #gui #uidesign #frontenddevelopment

@averyjsmithBig mistake I see data new comers make? Building a “GitHub Portfolio” 🧑💻👩💻 “But Avery, you always say ‘build a portfolio’, why are you changing your mind?” I DO want you to build a portfolio. Just not on GitHub. Even GitHub doesn’t want you to build a GitHub Portfolio… Why? GitHub was designed for effective software development & version control; not portfolios It’s ugly, difficult to navigate, inflexible, and hard to captivate a reader 🛑 GitHub even admits this That’s why they have GitHub Pages!!! If you want to build a portfolio, STOP USING GITHUB Start using GitHub Pages ✌️ just trust me on this one #datascience #datascientist #data
