If you’re new to copywriting… Here’s a simple way to get better - faster than other newbies! Now… Before you do this, you must have known the basics of copywriting. And by basics, I mean structure, - Headline - Lead - Body - Call to action… And all the underlying elements of a good copy. If not, get a course, get a book. Start reading. Just one course and one book. Don’t overdo it. You can read them two or three times. But remember... One course, one book. Past that stage? Okay, here’s what to do next… Go to Amazon[dot]com. Pick a product. Any product that interests you. Now write copy convincing me to buy it. Yes. Just me. And NO other person. Why? Because when you write copy, you write for ONE person. Understood? “Yes. But why you - Godson?” Sheeesh! Don’t be rude! I’m only trying to help you. You could use your sister or granny, doesn’t matter. Just make it ONE person. Okay, hold on… to help you even more… Let me make it more specific. (That’s if you prefer me to your granny) You see, in copywriting… You must KNOW your prospects before you can sell to them. And for this exercise, here’s what you need to know about me… I like hoodies. So… - Find a hoodie you believe is worth spending money on. - Read about it. Check the reviews to see what people are saying. - Have a feel of the hoodie. Make sure it’s something you’d want to buy - Then convince me to buy it. I mean, SELL it to me. There. An actionable tip you can do NOW. So.. Research. Write. Edit. Then repeat with another product. Got it? Cool then. Get to work fella! Cheers. PS. I give free tips like this everyday. For real. [Copywriting Lesson #165] When it comes to selling online… There’s one universal mistake that will tank sales. A mistake that millions of business owners make every single day. What is this mistake? They make their offer sound too good. Sounds crazy, I know. I mean… Who’s interested in boring stuff? Who wants to buy something that they don’t care about? Nobody. And that’s why you don’t want a boring offer either. Instead, you want a realistic offer. One that doesn’t promise more than it can deliver. But at the same time… You have to make people genuinely want your offer… You need a strong “big idea”. Then, you need to follow it up. Pique their curiosity, elevate real desire, and prime them to convert. But the most important thing? Don’t make it sound too good to be true. Bold claims demand bold proof. Keep things believable. Why? Believability sells better than bullsh*t. #business #marketing #copywriting

Copywriting is intimidating because it has so many jobs to do. 🤔 It has to outline the functional and emotional benefits of your product... Differentiate your brand from competitors... And build trust. 😎 But all of this adds up to the one core goal of copywriting: 👉Persuasion. 👈 If you're going to persuade anyone, you need to avoid this at all costs: Technical jargon and industry buzzwords. Yes. Copy needs to showcase your brand's expertise. 🧐 But people can't connect to jargon. It's meaningless to anyone not directly in your industry. Instead, write your copy like you're speaking to a friend. 🙋‍♂️ Make it feels personal by using the 1st and 2nd person. Use simple, concrete language. Write in short sentences. Get to the point quickly. Your customers aren't running a business, they don't know the technical stuff. 🤷‍♀️ All they know is that they have a problem, and they're looking for a solution. If you want to persuade more people to buy from you... Make your solution feel relatable. 👈 People only trust what's familiar. #Marketing #Branding #eCommerce

90% of marketing is copywriting.   -websites -ads -content -social media -linkedin profiles -landing pages -sales pages...   ...and the list goes on.   Because no matter how valuable your offer, or how well-thought-out your strategy, the actual WORDS will ultimately persuade people to buy. Or walk away.     #copywriting #marketing #sales #ami2much4u
