"Should we use a joint account or separate accounts?" This is a big topic for many couples. A study shows 3 key findings: 1. Couples with joint accounts stay together longer. 2. Stronger benefits are seen with couples who have less money. 3. Spending is more "sensible" and based on utility. I tell people to do whatever works for them, But I've been a fan of joint accounts for one key reason: ✅ Ease of management If you're both aligned with spending, Then make it easier to track/manage with one account. But after reading this, Team building seems to be the biggest benefit. I always say, "Money is a team sport." You're both working towards your goals or your not - it's that simple. Then I think of it from a business perspective: Do you want two teams in silos working towards a goal? Or would you want two teams collaborating toward a goal?
