Okay guys… There IS a difference between professional product photography and UGC photography.. Some of y’all are really out here taking pics that are a little *too* amazing and perfect to be put into the UGC category! 😂
Just because you’re a photographer who creates beautiful images doesn’t mean you understand what it takes to run a photography business

Sarah Perry
@sarahcperryI'm in the process of starting a side hustle. It has nothing to do with B2B marketing. Here are some of the fears and limiting beliefs I'm working through: 1. I'm going to be SO bad at it. The side hustle I am starting is photography. I, up until now, have never owned a camera beside an iPhone. I don't know which camera to buy. I don't know how to edit photos. But I'll figure it out. I feel drawn to this work, the work of creating opportunities for other people to feel beautiful and to feel joyful. 2. It will take time and energy away from my full-time job. I definitely fear that spending time doing photoshoots and editing will somehow take away from my ability to do my 9 to 5 well. Here's the thing: it will likely make me a much better marketer in the long run. For a long time, Chris Walker, a person on this website I very much trust, has been saying the best way to become a better marketer is to start a business of your own. To learn to see the whole picture and think like a CEO. I agree with him, so I'm going to try it out. 3. The third, and biggest fear, is I may start going down this path and then change my mind. I've started a side hustle before, and I stopped one day when it wasn't bringing me joy anymore. I'm still a bit ashamed and embarrassed that I quietly quit one day. I'm allowed to change my mind. But I'm going to start down this path anyway. You hear a lot of stories on LinkedIn from entrepreneurs who have successfully started a business. This is not that. This is the hi-I'm-on-day-three-and-I-don't-know-if-this-is-even-going-to-be-anything-but-here-I-go story. #VulnerabilityFriday #SideHustle
Oliver Lawer
@oliver-lawer-39130315At the weekend I tested Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max portrait mode in two scenarios. One. Moving target. Rolo LOVES the snow and sticks, so provided a perfect opportunity to see how well portrait mode performs. Pretty good I thought with only minimal blurring. Two. Low light. Firstly, thank you to Matt Reed for standing there like a lemon whilst I took this shot. A true friend. Portrait mode really started to struggle as the light dropped. Lots of grain in this image. But it still performed significantly better than the 12 pro (my last phone). I love photography and I’m so grateful to live in a day and age when you can have a camera as powerful as this in your pocket. ❤️
reading a blog I stumbled upon about how to do street photography in Glasgow and 90% of it is how to avoid getting your head kicked in
Chad Johnson
@chad-johnson-entrepreneur-designerI struggled for years with UI design. If you're struggling too, here are a few cheat codes... - ⚪ Negative space Negative space - or white space - is a crucial piece of visual hierarchy. Too much, and your designs will feel empty. Not enough, and they'll feel busy. Study grid types, spacing, and visual hierarchy. 🆎 Typography design This is a practice all in itself. One of the most important aspects is font pairing - or choosing primary fonts (usually titles/headers) that pair well with secondary fonts (usually paragraphs/body). But it's also much more. Line height, letter spacing, typescale, weight, and color all come into play. 🖼 Curating quality photography The difference between ok, good, and great photography can make worlds of difference. It's helpful to study photography, color theory, and composition to get it right. And try to say no to stock photography if possible. There are a few sites like Stocksy that have higher quality photography - and you can get lucky on Getty, iStock, or some of the free sites like Pexels and Unsplash. - Of course, there’s much more to it, especially when you get into complex products requiring systematic thinking, design systems, and deep collaboration with engineers. But if you’re struggling with UI design, try mastering the 3 practices above. #ui #design #uidesign
Dave Rogenmoser ⛳️
@daverogenmoserThings are about to get weird around here. The good kind of weird. Here's why: Before we got to this point, it was crazy—super crazy! Skeptics were on the prowl: "Machines aren't creative and can't make art." " OK, let's see what it can do and how it'll be developed." "Oh, it's just a toy. The results just aren't very good!" ...similar reactions to what the camera received in the 19th century. In those days, some folks felt the camera was a weird device— One that would pose serious threats to artists. But others embraced and explored the camera. And enjoyed the limitless possibilities of photography. Those smart artists won the same way AI Art is winning. Now, your favorite writing assistant just got back from art school. And it's ready to help you supercharge your content in the most magical way. Introducing Jasper Art. AI Art that turns your imagination into unique images in seconds! From landing page images to green screen backgrounds. The aesthetic possibilities are limitless with this AI Art. Cheers to more weird products that help businesses!
