GPT-4 is rumoured to launch next Jan. It’s going to be 500x more powerful than GPT-3 - GPT-3 has 175 billion parameters - GPT-4 supposedly has 100 trillion parameters What does that mean for us? - The AI hype train has not stopped just yet. HOA! - Major improvements to come, I’m hoping for better recall. - We’ll have to debate if it is now sentient or not Question: What happens to all these startups running fine-tuned models on GPT-3? I’m guessing they will all have to switch to GPT-4. Meaning they’ll have to spend 1+ months on prompt engineering and fine-tuning. #ai #gpt

This is a frightening visual for me. The first dot is the amount of data Chat GPT 3 was trained on. The second is what chat GPT 4 is trained on. They are already doing demos. It can write a 60,000 word book from a single prompt. The only question I've had about AI comes down to one thing - speed. How FAST will it learn. And from the looks of it...very. And if you really want reason for concern, its ability to learn itself - is trainable. Meaning, it will learn faster, faster. Buckle up. Oh... And Chat GPT-3 has an update. PS - my fear isn’t around GPT-4, but GPT-40. Message inspired by - Alex Hormozi . . . #chatgpt3 #gpt4 #ai #data

Looks like our first glimpse into the potential and power of the mythical GPT-4 may come through Microsoft and Bing. Semafor reports that, "Microsoft’s second-place search engine Bing is poised to incorporate a faster and richer version of ChatGPT, known as GPT-4, into its product in the coming weeks, marking rapid progress in the booming field of generative AI and a long-awaited challenge to Google’s dominance of search." Not gonna lie, I have never conducted a single search on Microsoft Bing. But I certainly would give it a test run once this new functionality goes live. The article also says that a ChatGPT mobile app is in the works. #ai #microsoft #GPT4

(guy who got a 1420 on the SAT) I don’t really get the hype around GPT-4

Not to go all sci-fi on this crowd, but GPT-4 will be as big of a leap from GPT-3 as GPT-3 was to GPT-2. Early 2023 is going to be wild. I can't wait to build with it and invest in the best startups who leverage it (culture 2.0, diverse, user-first, intuitive design, strong business sense, brilliant team).

GPT-4 is not going to take your job. However, the person using it to enhance their work probably will.

Last night we all got new superpowers. GPT-4 launched. It was explosive. Here are some of the best examples of it Yesterday was our ‘Everything Everywhere all at Once’ moment for AI. Google, OpenAI, MidJourney and others launched new AI products. But, it was OpenAI’s launch of GPT-4 that blew my mind. When Apple launched the iPod showing us we could put 1000 songs in our pocket or the iPhone showing us the future of mobile, it felt big. OpenAI gave us GPT-4 creating a website from a napkin drawing. It felt transformative. Work is changed forever for everyone when you can go from idea to finished website/app with no steps needed in between. Product is not longer the blocker for great ideas. Imagine Figma allowing you to easily turn any drawing into a finished product! GPT-4 is even more transformative for creating media. It can handle 25,000 words! It can easily work with you to write books, compose songs or research papers. With 25,000 words AI will be much more powerful. For example, you can ask it to consume all of David Ogilvy’s books on copywriting and use what it’s learned to rewrite landing pages, sales pages, your home page. No person can keep 25,000 words in their head, and effectively reason and manipulate with the information. The impact here will be incredible. It will transform education. I can give GPT-4 whole sets of documents and ask it to provide a step-by-step guide to teach me what’s in it …… woah. Khan Academy just launched an AI tutor for their courses. We’ll see much more of this over the coming months. It’s multi-modal so can accept visuals as an input. It’s image recognition is incredible. It can take any image input and describe it perfectly. Being able to have images as an input along with text will be huge. Presentations will also be disrupted. Tome.app showed an example of their app creating an entire presentation from a Wikipedia article using GPT-4. Coding continues to be transformed. We saw an example of GPT-4 being given code with bugs, consuming documentation on the code, and then perfectly correcting the errors. Why learn when GPT-4 can do it for you. It’s less than 24 hours after GPT-4 was officially launched and I’ve already seen lots of mind blowing ways people are using it in their work. The pace of change is going to be incredible. I don’t want to forget Google’s AI launch, adding more AI to Gmail, Docs will be big for productivity. But, yesterday belonged to GPT-4. There’s also something to learn from their launch video. What’s your ‘wtf’ moment that people will share with others. For OpenAI it was turning a napkin into a website. Well played OpenAI, well played ….

Woah. GPT-4 just built me a fully functioning Chrome extension that checks websites for broken links.......Zero to working time, 7 minutes. Yes, I timed it. I've never built a Chrome extension before, I just followed the instructions from GPT-4 and it provided all the code. This is going to change EVERYTHING.

ChatGPT is average. We've surveyed 2,000+ top GTMers in our community to get the inside scoop on the ChatGPT craze and truly gauge the burning questions about AI we all have through an anonymized survey. Are you skeptical about the effectiveness of СhatGPT? Do you trust your team to leverage OpenAI based on IP risks? You wonder why Google and Microsoft waited to get into the game. LLMs will only get more innovative and sophisticated, sampling even more data with GPT-4. ChatGPT – Writes a better-than-average cover letter and CV – Writes a better-than-average blog post – Writes a better-than-average sales email But what about when it's good or even great? All the research points to AI creating jobs, albeit destroying others. Frey says technological progress like ChatGPT is good for society. "It's why we're a lot more prosperous today than a couple of hundred years ago." And for many workers, AI tools may eventually be able to make their jobs easier. "Some of the more boring parts of the job may disappear," he said. ref: Business Insider cc: Seth Marrs #ai #research #team #job #community #chatgpt #sales #marketing #innovation
