        Sorry I have to even say this but I want to be clear that the following things will not affect your ability to get a job at Zapier: 1. Whether or not you wrote a thank you note. 2. What you were wearing. 3. How you styled your hair that day. 4. Your Zoom background* I mean maybe I don't know what I'm talking about but we really try to make hiring decisions off of things like the skills you bring to the table and the results you've been able to achieve in the past. There were a couple of posts going around and I was SHOCKED at the comments where so many people noted that they would reject people simply for not sending a thank you note. I mean recruiters can't be bothered to send a rejection to a candidate after multiple interviews, but you're holding a thank you note against them?! The boldness of basically saying you'd take a less qualified candidate over a more qualified one because they didn't stroke your ego enough. This is really outdated, old school advice that reinforces the balance of power - you as the candidate should be grateful to the company for making time for you. Curious how many of those companies are taking the time to send thank you notes to candidates who interview with them? Anyway, I think posts like these say a lot about the values of these companies or leaders. Don't get me wrong, I always appreciate a thank you note. But it will never impact a decision. If you're not qualified or the strongest match, that thank you note isn't going to move you forward, and if you're the strongest candidate, the lack of a thank you note will never hold you back. *unless your background says something like "I hate automation" or "Zapier is the worst" I guess.

Here's the 7-step process for automating your business so you can work less and earn more: As your business grows, you get more clients, money, and tasks and processes to handle. At the same time, you can't lose focus on what really matters to your business. That's why you need to automate everything you can, to work less and earn more. Here's how: 1. Assess Choose which business processes to automate first. Of course, you can aim for "all of them," but starting with no more than ten is better. And how do you choose the first process? Consider these three factors to decide: • Business impact – what is the value of automating this process? • Maturity – how well do we understand this process? • Complexity – how complex is the integration, process flows, and business rules? 2. Adjust Before automating them, make sure the manual processes are working well and fix any serious issues. Automating inefficient or defective processes can only magnify these issues. 3. Design Plan your streamlined process by creating a flowchart. Design a step-by-step workflow of each process and the ideal scenario you would like to have after automating them. Decide what the trigger and action for each step and the tools you will need for them are. 4. Build Now for the fun part!:) It's time to set up the tools and integrate them. For faster integration, you can use no-code tools, like: • Zapier • Make • n8n And these are the business tools most of my clients use to automate their processes: • Calendly • Monday • Notion • Typeform • Stripe • Docusign • Slack 5. Test Before running every automation in the production mode, run some tests to ensure you get the outcomes needed. Most importantly, ensure each step of the process works according to the flowchart you built in step 3. 6. Run You’re ready to go live. Turn each workflow on and watch everything automation can do for you and your business: • Helps you scale • Avoids missing any task or deadline • Minimizes chances of errors • Saves time • Reduces expenses • Makes you feel good 7. Analyze For every new automated process, pay attention to the quality of process execution and outcome. How frequently ad hoc tasks are introduced, or alternate process pathways are used? These findings may be used to confirm and optimize the process design if needed. Those steps are the beginning of your automation process. It doesn't end there. It's an ongoing effort.
