@annie-nelson-analyst"You'll hear back from us next week about next steps" After an interview, oftentimes all of your anxious energy has nowhere to go. You can guess, but you don't know how it went from their perspective! I used to handle this pent up anxious energy by jumping back into projects 👓 I love working with data, and this was a validation go myself that I can do this. I don't do this anymore. Unless you're some kind of crazy extrovert, interviewing for positions you care about takes a lot of emotional energy 😮💨 My new approach is to bring myself to the park and go on a mental health walk after every interview 🏞️ The walk allows me to release those pent up feelings, but it also fills my cup back up. Now I look forward to my mental health walks every day. I know I particularly enjoy them on interview days. Its less productive and I don't get as much data analytics done, I will admit. But it's giving me more of myself back to bring to interviews, and my relationship. I'm looking forward to the day that I can make working with data my full time job 🙂

@harsh-tripathyPsychology was one of the optionals for my sister when she was preparing for the Civil Services Mains. I used to scan her notes and I started developing interest. One day, I asked my sister that I want to go for a masters in psychology. She said that the book she is studying has mostly theoretical concepts. Plus, what are the job prospects after psychology? I had no answer. Even after I dropped my psychology masters plan, I started observing people around. Even in grocery stores and in general life situations. I watched personal growth videos with info on subconscious mind and alpha and beta waves. The working of the human mind intrigues me and eventually, That made me a better writer and now I come up with psychology backed marketing messages. Marketing psychology I believe the subject should be mandatory from school, so we can get prepared for adulthood and even manage our mind better. Having an understanding of what happens inside our brain when we feel happy or sad can definitely help diffuse the patterns. There are thousands of chemical reactions happening. Still the best part, understanding psychology will make you a brilliant writer and marketer. So, what are you waiting for? Go study Thoughts? #writing #marketingpsychology #psychology #marketing #mentalhealth

Tim Perreira
@timperreiraAs a high performer, it's easy to have blinders on - focused on the race. You LOVE to feel like you're gaining ground, improving, achieving success. But with those blinders, you lose sight of what's going on around you and all the things that really matter. It's no wonder every highly-driven guy I speak with says the same thing: "I've done everything I should do, but still feel like something's off. And I have no idea why or what to do." You get so focused on winning the race, that when the blinders finally come off it's like staring into the sun. If you ever find yourself feeling that, PLEASE don't push it to the side. Feelings are your body's way of communicating with your brain. It's a sign to pay attention. If you feel like something is off, something IS off. Listen to what your gut is trying to tell you for once. You don't have to know a clear path forward right away, but you do have to listen. Want to know the secret to meaning, purpose, fulfillment, and happiness? Listening, asking questions, and taking action. 🖤 #health #personaldevelopment #mentalhealth #growthmindset #happiness

@garyltravisI'm 37 years old. I've been working for over 20 years. I've had careers in 6 different industries. I've started/co-founded 9 different companies. And I have walked away from every single opportunity that negatively affected my mental health without a second thought. Your most valuable asset is your mental health. Take care of yourself. Jean-Charles Wirth
@jean-charles-wirth-b037797Over the last few years in a pandemic, physical wellbeing has been top of mind for us all...we have kept our distance and worked to ‘stop the spread’. Equally important, but maybe less in focus, has been our mental well-being...with potential impacts from as many diverse aspects as there are people. Mental health isn’t only a topic for those that feel they are struggling, it’s important we all recognize the value of understanding our unique needs. So, let’s talk about it. A few of my favorite ways to stay mentally healthy are by reflecting on everything in my life that I’m grateful for (which is a lot), running to help combat stress (which is also a lot….), and getting a good night’s sleep (which is unfortunately not always a lot…. 😝)! Just like with my physical health, sometimes I need additional input and support. Here’s a friendly reminder that it is ok to not be ok and please know that you are not alone. What are your favorite ways to stay in a good head-space? #mentalhealthawareness #endthestigma #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #yourenotalone #wellbeing

@taylorrosejohnsonLet’s get one thing straight.. 💤A resume gap does not mean someone is lazy. 🤷🏼♀️A resume gap does not mean someone cares any less. 🥸A resume gap does not mean someone is unreliable. 👏🏻A resume gap DOES mean someone shifted their priorities. You don’t have to justify taking a break from working. Everyone’s priorities are different- you don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Keeping doing you boo💛 #resume #mentalheath
Avneet Kaur (she/her)
@avneet-kaur-she-her-504a62202Psychology says: Don’t read these ‘psychology says’ facts and consult a psychologist even if you’re *JUST* feeling low. Therapy is important. Even if it just means talking your heart out, it is important. You shouldn’t be self treating your mental illness by reading quotes and articles. Just like you wouldn’t treat cancer on your own. #psychology #psychologyfacts #therapy #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #tcdm #mentalhealthmatters
Aida Soleimani 💕
@aida-soleimani"If you quit, you're weak." That's total BS. Leaving a toxic job to prioritize your mental health and protect your sanity shows self-awareness self-love self-prioritization and courage. Stop labeling people as weak for leaving toxic jobs. People are tired of dreading going to work. Yes, the paycheck matters... but so does our mental health. And no one should have to trade one for the other. Focus on keeping your people happy Instead of blaming employees for leaving toxic companies. The results will surprise you. Happy Tuesday! Be a better leader today. Tim Perreira
@timperreiraPosting about my depression on LinkedIn Isn't exactly what I had in mind for myself a few years ago. But sharing has kicked opened the doors for other men... And it's helped more than a few feel it's ok to go through something similar. It still blows my mind how many messages I get from men sharing their struggles. I'm often the first person they've ever told. Successful, competent, intelligent, motivated, and aspirational men. You're not alone and you're definitely not broken. LFG! 🖤 #mentalhealth #wellbeing #men -- I coach guys who want to get mentally healthy, but if you just need an ear I'm happy to do that, too.
Sebastian Apud
@sebastianapudMany of you that know I am a big proponent of therapy. It has helped me grow tremendously as a person, be more accepting of things I can't control, be more appreciative of the world around me, and develop closer and stronger relationships - as a teenager, in grad school, and as an adult full of responsibilities. However, finding a great therapist is often (maybe always?) difficult, especially when looking for one in another language. I went through almost half a dozen till I found my last therapist... That's why I am so excited to invest in Sanarai and help with their mission "to improve Latinx community's access to high quality mental health services"! So if you are looking for a therapist in Spanish, please think about using Sanarai! #mentalhealth #investing
Naveed Lalani
@naveedlalaniThings becoming more real by the day for my new mental health startup. Meeting some incredible talent to hire, talking to some of the world’s best investors to partner with on top of the anchor investor I already have, getting advise from people I could have only dreamed about working with, and more and more validation around the problem we are solving. I’m in awe and feel so blessed. Feeling like my truest self in this new role. #mentalhealth #enterprenuership #startups
