Question for remote workers. 👇 What’s more important: A) the actual work you do? B) the perception of the work you do? Something tells me the answer isn’t black and white. #remotework

Remote work. When the pandemic started, I was working as an independent recruiter. In the course of one week my work load went to zero. Every client froze hiring and went fully remote. A few months later when my clients were removing their hiring freeze, many of them decided to close their open positions. It turned out that software engineers were more efficient working from home. The remote numbers have continued to increase. From what I have been able to determine roughly 70% of software engineers are now working full remote. So I am baffled to see more tech companies forcing employees to come back to the office. Not only are they going to lose productivity, but over time they will lose a lot of their people who will leave for a fully remote job. The world is changing. Companies need to adapt. HR (myself included) needs to keep management informed and lead companies in adapting and updating policies.

"Bosses want employees on-site. Job candidates want remote work — and recruiters are caught in the middle." Thank you, Rebecca M. Knight and Insider Business, for the opportunity to weigh in! #recruiters #jobseekers #remote #hybrid #inoffice #remotework

People interchange “remote working” with “working from home”. They are very different things… The last month I’ve worked from Amsterdam, Leeds, Edinburgh, and London. Breaking that link to one office unlocks flexibility, independence and creativity. Remote is the future.

Remote work has taken something away from being young. Moving to a new city. Meeting like-minded folks. Bonding during lunch with your coworkers. Looking to network with our salespeople in Boston - hosting a true meet-up/networking event in March. Tag someone who might want to attend. DM if you want to be on the list.

People still have split opinions about in-office, hybrid, and remote work. Where would you have your team work, if you could mandate (like #elonmusk) and were only focused on productivity? #remotework #hybridwork #productivity #workplace

Remote work is a skill. It must be learned, developed and assessed in order to become successful at it. Suddenly switching from in-person to remote is jarring. People don't immediately possess the skill. This has been a major learning for me in the process of making that transition.

Midweek reminder: Remote working does NOT mean working from home! Winter is in full swing in the Uk meaning it’s cold, dark and often miserable. It can be so easy to barricade yourself in your 4 walls. But if you’re in the fortunate position to work remotely, take advantage of it! Go to a coffee shop. Travel to a friend or client's working space. Or even get a flight to a completely different country (preferably a warmer one). Travelling while working was one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done. I honestly would recommend every to try it. But even if you can’t get abroad… Try a different environment. Your mental health will thank you.

I was fortunate enough to speak with Jenelle Knight over a virtual coffee today. We laughed & chatted about remote work, sales enablement, Denver, what is next for her, and more. This incredible human is seeking opportunities within the Customer Success & Sales Enablement space. I simply wanted to share. 😊 #opportunities #remotework #coffee

the cost of remote work is the loss of the ability to pull a coworker for an innocent coffee walk-and-talk that quickly turns into a tea-spilling vent sesh
