When choosing a new habit many people seem to ask themselves, “What can I do on my best days?” The trick is to ask, “What can I stick to even on my worst days?” Start small. Master the art of showing up. Scale up when you have the time, energy, and interest.

8 years ago, I was barely getting by. I was sharing a bunk bed with my brother living at home. Had hardly anything to my name. 4 years ago, I nearly lost everything in a business partnership gone bad. Lost customers, almost all my crypto, and the business. I had to start over from scratch. Fast forward to now: Last month was Collective Shift’s biggest month ever! We hit an all-time high in monthly recurring revenue. - We’ve got 1000+ happy customers. - Our retention rate is the best it’s been. - And we’ve made so many improvements. It’s insane that we can now say we’re a profitable multi-7-figure business! And we’re so excited to keep growing as Australia's leading crypto research company. The team has been amazing, and I'm so proud of everyone 🙏🏻 These past 5 years taught me one of the biggest business lessons: → Perseverance pays off. You’ve got to show up daily, even when you feel like nothing is working. Trust me, there were months when progress felt nonexistent. And times, I thought about giving up. (Especially when I was sharing a bunk bed with my brother 😅) So, if you’re in the thick of it right now… Do not stop. You owe it to yourself to see how far you can go. Our goal? To become the Morningstar of crypto. Onwards & upwards 💪🏻

Why your best people leave (and how to keep them) People doesn’t leave without cause. They leave when trust is broken, growth stalls, or alignment fades. I've advised 100s of founders on how to build great culture that inspires talent to stay. The ones that suffer a talent exodus did these seven things: 1. Micromanaged - Trust employees to make decisions. - Delegate with clear ownership. - Use check-ins to support, not control. 2. Failed to recognize - Celebrate wins in meetings. - Recognize individuals personally. - Reward outcomes, not just effort. 3. Introduced toxicity - Model respect and inclusion. - Address issues immediately. - Ensure every voice is heard. 4. Didn't grow their people - Connect employees with mentors. - Invest in skill development. - Define clear career paths. 5. Set unclear expectations - Clarify roles and responsibilities. - Set measurable, aligned goals. - Communicate shifting priorities. 6. Overloaded top performers - Encourage time off and balance. - Set realistic, sustainable goals. - Invest in tools that lighten workloads. 7. Lead disconnected - Engage with employees at all levels. - Listen to and act on feedback. - Build trust through consistency. People don’t suddenly quit, they disengage first. How do you retain your best people? ♻️ Repost to help others keep top talent. ➕ Follow Peter Sorgenfrei to learn to lead.

The best marketing? Makes you FEEL something. When you look at great marketing? Three things should be clear 1. You feel seen 2. You don't feel "marketed to" 3. You understand their POV clearly Here's a simple tests I recommend for messaging. Have your ideal customers read your copy. 💬 Then ask them: "When you read the copy" "What did your inner voice say to you?" "What was the first thing it made you feel?" If your messaging is STRONG Your audience will have moments like these 👇 Where that little voice whispers to them: "This brand understands my pain!" "YES, finally I feel seen" "They get me" One of the best tips to get closer to this? Start using quotes for your headlines. Some of the best H1s are quotes. They relay strong emotion + customer POV. Without sounding like B2B jargon. Stop trying to sound impressive. Start trying to sound human. Your conversion rate will thank you ✌️

You’ve optimized, built backlinks, and followed “best practices”—so why isn’t Google rewarding you? Is it because SEO is dead? Not even close. But it has changed. The real question is: Are you keeping up? Google now favors expertise, trust, and engagement over outdated SEO practices. Want to rank? Be valuable. Be visible. Be everywhere your audience searches. My latest newsletter breaks down the SEO shifts you can’t ignore in 2025 and must know if you want to rank (and stay there). The future of search is here, is your business ready for it? Let's find out!

One of the best parts about working in deep tech is that it forces you to actually live your philosophy. Not talk about it. Not theorize. Not posture. Just live it — day in, day out — under real constraints. Most people build beautiful frameworks in their heads. But they’ve spent years explaining them instead of pressure-testing them. That gap — between what you believe and what you do — is where most of the dissatisfaction creeps in. In deep tech, that gap closes fast. You don’t get to explain yourself. You don’t get to hide behind language. You lead through execution — or you don’t lead at all. When you’re responsible for systems tied to real lives, real budgets, real national consequences… no one’s asking for your philosophy. They’re watching how you act when everything’s on the line *under stress*. If this is something you're experiencing or have experienced, consider yourself lucky! You will be one of the few who feel fulfilled at the end of it all! Thoughts ????
